Hi all,

I have been meaning to post about this for awhile.

There is cable TV on offer in Khon Kaen from KTV for 350 bahtski per month, and I believe 300 or 350 installation.  The monthly fee gets a little cheaper if you pay for multiple months in advance.  Quite a good value, really.  The service was excellent and the reception fine, only occasionally outages.

Unfortunately, most of the programming is in Thai and there are no English movie channels  .  There is one channel that shows American films, but the sound track is in Thai.   However, what you do get is still more than worth 350 baht.  Some of it:

Fox News
UBC Series
Star World
UBC Super Sport

There is other stuff that I don't pay attention to that may interest some people:  pop music, fashion, travel, German (w/some English programming), French (channel 5, I believe).

KTV is off of Run Rom Road not far from the train station

I think the KTV is quite interesting with some american / English language channels (including some series and movies).  I paid for one year in one time and then you get 2 months discount (so 3500 for one year).

The quality is very good and I have about 45 channels.

I haven't found the German channel yet, but I noticed Vietnamese, Malay, Chinese, TV5 (French)...

The street is easy to find, coming from Sri Chan Road go into the street of the ABS / 172 and follow it untill the end.  Before the end it is on your left.

Yes, they have Goal TV which shows an SPL game most weekends, but unfortunately, for the westerners, it has Thai commentary over the top of the sound.
